I'm taking a couple of days of vacation this week, and I've worked a little more on my mother-in-law's quilt top. I'd say at this point that it is between 33 and 40 percent complete. I think it is coming together rather nicely.
While I'm off, I'm also taking advantage of the time I have to play with my new Wii! Last week during game night Waldo brought his Wii to let us see - I'd never played one or even seen it being played, only heard about it. I won the bowling game with 3 of the guys, what fun! So, what would you expect to happen? Yep, you guessed it. I was on the hunt for one for myself. My only requirement - I was not going to pay any more than retail for it, even though it's kind of scarce for now. I called my local EB Games store every morning to see if they got any shipments in, and I signed up for Circuit City's email notification. I'd rather support EB Games when I can, but unfortunately for them, Circuit City came through with a shipment Tuesday (just one week after I had started looking). Perfect timing for me (with my vacation being Wednesday through Friday this week). I also picked up Ware Ware: Smooth Moves and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix games. It's such fun! Of course, I haven't given up on my Gamecube (and I'm still playing Zelda: Twilight Princess), but I like the fact that there are some games that C and I can play together. I'm tempted to buy the Z:TP for the Wii, but I may just try to rent it to see how it is first. I'd imagine the mechanics are quite different. Also, they just released Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, and I want to rent it too, just to play it through in Wii mode. :)
LOL, Micky - yes, I think that I shall store my cross stitch mojo in my beaded flag amulet bag. :) Some good news on that front - though I haven't cross stitched much lately, I DID pull out Mother's Arms and work on it a bit this week. It has quite a few beads in it too. ;-)
