Slowly, but surely, I've put a few stitches in at a time, and finally finished L is for Leaves by Prairie Schooler. At this rate, I'll finish this cross-stitch quilt in 26 years, but it's the process for me, so I'm okay with that. :)

I also managed to make a few pincushions as little Christmas gifts for a few of my friends at our quilt guild. CC helped me pick out the buttons I used in making them, and the pattern is Square Deal Pincushion from Heather Bailey Designs. I will admit that I didn't try to sew the ribbon through the pincushion as the pattern called for. I tried that, and for the life of me could not get the ribbon through with any needle, pliers, rubber gloves, etc. So I just wrapped it around and sewed it down with the buttons. Worked for me. These photos show the tops and bottoms or fronts and backs, whichever you prefer. :)

I'm sorry about Rudy :( Poor baby! Poor you, too. L looks really nice and dig those "boxes" girl!
I'm so sorry to hear about Rudy. :(
Those pinkeeps are darling.
So sorry about your kitty. :(
Those pincushions are really fun! And, yay for getting "L" complete. Though, I must agree that stitching is much more about the journey. Finishes upon occasion are rather nice, however. ;)
The pincushions are absolutely beautiful ! Sending you good vibes for Rudy. May he have as many pleasant moments as possible, and from reading your blog, you seem to provide him with loads of those ;-). Ann
