Correcting crochet mistakes

Here are my puff stitch squares, all corrected now.

And, like a lot of things lately, but especially crochet for some reason, I had to rip back the Sweet Dreams doily to round 11. I had gotten to round 16 when I realized that the instructions weren't really matching up with what I was doing. That's when I realized that the pattern had switched from a pattern + 3 repeats to a longer pattern + 1 repeat for each round. Sigh. I really, really must pay attention to instructions more closely. This photo shows the round at which the pattern changes - it starts out with 7 triple crochets in the loop at the top, but then switches to 6 trc in the next loop (on the left), then back to 7 at the bottom and 6 in the right side loop. I totally ignored the pattern and did 7 in each, and subsequently ignored additional changes, because, well, I've done this pattern twice before, so I must know what I'm doing and don't have to pay as much attention, right? :)

So, I'm back to working on this today, hoping to make progress up to at least the point where I had to rip out today. At least I have a decent audiobook to listen to while I'm crocheting. Though I am stopping it every now and then to make sure I'm on track this time so that I don't have to rip out so much again... :)
