Thread catcher and more

I've been wanting to make something like this for a while now, and came across a tutorial this morning that was really quick and easy (important, since I'm still recovering and didn't want to get into anything huge and complicated, especially since I also made my SSS 2012 BOM for August, see below).

Now I have my very own, and think I might make another one or two for carrying along to Sit-n-Sews or just hanging around the house wherever I stitch and sew. The first photo is before I put the buttons on.

Okay, I'm going back to sit down and rest while I sew a few hexagons together. Yes, I am working on my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt again - it has been too long! I found a really cool way of finishing it that I want to use. Of course, that means that I have to finish the quilt top first, then quilt it, and THEN finish-finish it. But I really like this method described in the video below!
