Haus of Yarn's got it going on

Haus of Yarn is a yarn shop in Nashville, on the West side. They have lots of yummy yarns, and I've shopped a few times, but I don't get over that way very often.

I just learned a week or so ago that they have a Yarn Bus which travels to various locations on the weekends, bringing a selection of their yarns so that people who can't travel to their shop can see the yarns up close in person and purchase there on the spot!

How awesome is that? Very! Since they were coming to Lebanon yesterday, I decided to see if they had some yarn I was interested in getting for a project they recently showed on their Facebook page. The pattern is free on, and it's called Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief. This is their model.

And this is my yarn purchase. Two skeins of Malabrigo Arroyo yarn, which they wound for me, yay!

The left is Arco Iris, which is the color they used in the model, but with this particular hand-dye, colors may vary wildly from skein to skein. The right is Fresco y Seco, yummy, yummy greens. If I enjoy making this kerchief, I might make it again as a gift or two. :)

And the project planning continues some more!!!
