Full steam ahead and a finish!

Since my last post, I have been full steam ahead on my First Cardigan Sweater knitting. I finished the larger collar, picked up and knit the button band, and tonight I picked up the stitches for the buttonhole band. It is starting to look like a sweater!

Of course, in the photo below, I sort of cheated on the photo and hid all the seams that are not yet sewn. You can sort of tell the sleeve isn't yet seamed, but the rest of the unsewn seams are cleverly hidden. :)

I have forsaken all other projects in the hopes that I can finish my sweater this week. I would love to wear it to my Runaway Girls group next week. My luck - I will finish it, but the temperature will be 90 degrees! :)

I do have another knitting finish to share - this is Age of Brass and Steam #4 in the colorway Lotus. Love, love, love it.

I have put off casting on a new AoBaS kerchief until the sweater is finished. I do like to have one on the needles at all times, and I have several more that I plan to make, but I really need to focus if I'm going to finish as soon as I want to. I haven't picked out buttons yet, but it calls for 7, so I'll have to see if I have something that will work, or if not - go shopping!

I have also disappeared down the rabbit hole of knitting video podcasts. There are several that I've found that are really interesting. I'm randomly going back and watching some of the old episodes, but I'm picking them up from where they are now mostly. My three favorite at the moment:

In non-knitting news, my mom and I dropped off our quilt tops and backings at my quilter's, and we are looking forward to seeing them quilted. We both looked at the same two pantos for our quilts. I chose one and she chose the other. I think we'll both be very happy. Then we get to have a binding lesson! So close to some happy dancing!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
