Knitting: I started and finished a second pair Rip Current Mitts by Melissa Tuttle Sibley (these are for my Mom). They are knit with KnittyandColor's Indie Rock Worsted yarn in the Constellation Colorway.
I am halfway through knitting the sections of my Sea Dragon Shawl by Ambah using Seven Sisters Yarn - I've finished the increases and now I'm working on the decreases, into the fourth of six colors.
And I started a new pair of socks! They are the Monkey Socks by Cookie A., and the Monkey Socks pattern is still currently free on Knitty.com. I'm using my newly-acquired Tweedy Toes Sock Yarn from 2 Guys Yarn in the Across the Bay colorway, along with my new favorite double-pointed needles, Knitter's Pride Karbonz.
Quilting: I have started block 7 of 7 pieced for my Over the Rainbow quilt by Tacha Bruecher and I am still making my green hexies for the next set of blocks. I used my Sizzix Big Shot Pro die cutter to cut the black strips I'll be using in the borders around all of the rest of my blocks. It definitely made the cutting faster and easier with strip dies. The helpful book, The Big Little Book of Fabric Die Cutting Tips, was by Ebony Love. Unfortunately, it may be out of print now. But Ebony has lots of die-cutting video tips on her Love Bug Studios YouTube Channel.
I've also finished block 13 of 16 for Eldon by Edyta Sitar.
Crochet: My Scrappy Sock Yarn Granny Square Blanket now has 36 attached blocks.
Cross Stitch: I pulled out Mirabilia's Deco Spirits for some attention. Will I continue working on her, or will I start a new small Mill Hill project next weekend when I get together with friends? Tune in next time to find out!
Miscellany: I finished the lined drawstring bags I was working on last episode. I also shared a bit of yarn and fabric stash enhancement, and mused about upcoming projects.
