Yes, I said shopping. Surprise, surprise. :)
We visited a yarn shop, a quilt shop, a bead shop, and a couple of needlework shops. This is what elected to come home with me.
Left, a cute owl fat quarter; top right, a few fabrics from Tula Pink's Saltwater line; and bottom right, a complete fat quarters collection of Tula Pink's Elizabeth line.
Two different views of the collection of fat quarters (right) that I got to make a baby quilt, along with a fabric I'm going to use to tie it all together (the solid green) and the fabric I plan to use to bind it (blue with white lines, and white, green, and black dashes)
Left, several packages of my favorite tapestry needles, Bohin, and right, (continuing my apparent obsession with Malabrigo yarn), Malabrigo Sock in Ivy and Natural
5 different colors of size 6 glass beads for possible beaded knitting projects. Does it matter that I haven't yet started or completed even one beaded knitting project? No, because I love beads, and I love knitting, and I just imagine I will love putting them together. :) And if I don't? I can always make necklaces, bracelets, or find some other use for them.
I also worked on three (yes, I said three!) cross stitch projects. I took another stab at Chatelaine's Desert Landscapes Mandala and finished a feather. I'll talk about that in the next podcast, along with what I did to overcome some of the difficulties I was having with it.
Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!
